Growing up on a family farm in small town Virginia, my family worked hard for a living and instilled that virtue in me starting at a young age. My grandfather still works the land and tends to his cattle everyday (note: he’s in his 80′s), and my grandmother has owned and operated her own business for almost 40 years in partnership with my mother. My great-grandfather was a self-made success story and I remember him being a penny pincher even in all his success. Needless to say, I’ve got working hard on a budget in my blood. One problem – I’ve also got expensive tastes.

Hello, good life. Meet budget. Get to know each other, its going to be a bumpy ride.

It’s pretty obvious the words “expensive” and “budget” don’t usually play well together. Once I moved out on my own, claimed Nashville as my new hometown, and got married (in that order), I decided to do something about it. Why can’t a girl on a budget enjoy the finer things in life without breaking the bank? Since then, I’ve bought a beautiful home, furnishings, vacations, even had a extravagant wedding for a quarter of the pricetag. And shoes – lots of shoes. All without buyer’s remorse. And with a lot of money left in my pocket.

I started Beauty and a Budget as a resource for those who want to enjoy the good life and have money left over. For those who think its silly to pay more for something when you have the choice to pay less. And for those working hard on a budget with expensive tastes like myself. A toast to all of us.

Live well. Not Broke.

  2. I was just seeking this info for a while. After 6 hours of continuous Googleing, finally I got it in your web site. I wonder what’s the Google’s problem that doesn’t rank this kind of informative sites closer to the top. Generally the top web sites are full of garbage.

  3. I appreciate your information in this article. It’s smart, well-written and easy to understand. You have my attention on this subject. I will be back.

  4. This site won’t show up appropriately on my iphone 3gs – you might wanna try and repair that

  5. From our house and street address example, this
step is identical to pointing your address at your house.
To have success you must build a small business all
    around your web site.

  6. I then clicked the top “view blog” tab and there was
my blog fully published. It’s the standard and feature of any blog that hooks
most variety of folks and gets illustrious among frequent bloggers
    in any actual business.

  7. The very first thing you have to do is go with a
category – it is best to just type in what an item is and let
e – Bay choose for you personally. You don’t have to go to newspapers and post your work requirements to get great workers.

  8. Many folks are more comfortable with and for that reason prefer the using visuals when reading anything online.
One of the overlooked traffic resources is produced by Google
    picture search.

  9. Howdy just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a
few of the pictures aren’t loading correctly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue.

I’ve tried it in two different internet browsers and both show the same results.

  10. Wonderful goods from you, man. I’ve understand your stuff previous to and you’re just extremely wonderful.
I actually like what you have acquired here, certainly like what you are
stating and the way in which you say it. You make it enjoyable and you still take care of
to keep it sensible. I can’t wait to read much more from you.
This is actually a great site.

  11. Hey there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog.
Is it difficult to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty
quick. I’m thinking about creating my own but I’m not sure where to start.
Do you have any points or suggestions? Appreciate it

  12. Greetings! I know this is kinda off topic however , I’d figured
I’d ask. Would you be interested in trading links or maybe
guest authoring a blog article or vice-versa?
My website discusses a lot of the same subjects as yours
and I feel we could greatly benefit from each other.
If you might be interested feel free to shoot me an email.
I look forward to hearing from you! Great blog by the way!

  13. Hi would you mind letting me know which webhost you’re utilizing?
I’ve loaded your blog in 3 different internet browsers
and I must say this blog loads a lot faster then most.
Can you recommend a good web hosting provider at a reasonable price?
    Many thanks, I appreciate it!

  14. What you composed made a bunch of sense. However, consider this, what
if you added a little content? I ain’t suggesting
your information isn’t solid., however what if you added a headline that grabbed a
    person’s attention? I mean Beauty and a BudgetAbout |
is a little boring. You could glance at Yahoo’s
front page and note how they write news headlines
to get people to open the links. You might try adding a video or a
picture or two to grab readers excited about what you’ve
written. In my opinion, it might make your posts a little livelier.

  15. Have you ever considered about including a little bit
more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and everything.
However imagine if you added some great images or videos to give your posts more,
“pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and videos, this blog could certainly be one of the very best in its field.
    Terrific blog!
